War - Women's Haile Selassie V-neck Tee

This minimalist block of words is the original excerpt from Haile Selassie's speech to the UN which was later paraphrased into the lyrics for the song War by Bob Marley. The full text is a powerful statement against discrimination; in a small font, it starts a conversation: it's expressive to the wearer without being abrasive to a viewer.
Too long to quote in full here, a portion of the shirt reads,

"That until the philosophy which holds one race superior and another inferior is finally and permanently discredited and abandoned [...]
That until the color of a man’s skin is of no more significance than the color of his eyes; [...] That until that day, the dream of lasting peace and world citizenship and the rule of international morality will remain but a fleeting illusion, to be pursued but never attained [...] until bigotry and prejudice and malicious and inhuman self-interest have been replaced by understanding and tolerance and goodwill; [...] until that day, the African continent shall not know peace. We Africans will fight if necessary and we know that we shall win as we are confident in the victory of good over evil." -Haile Selassie I

A portion of the proceeds from this shirt goes to fund education initiatives in South Sudan.

This alluring deep-V Burnout top goes beyond typical tee with its smooth, silky drape and irresistible softness. Signature tag riveted at the back of the neck. Runs true to size.
